Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo What is ketoconazole and what is its use: It is an azole antifungal and is used to treat endogenous Cushing's syndrome (when the body produces excess cortisol) in adults and adolescents over 12 years old. Do not take ketoconazole: If you are allergic to ketoconazole and/or any antifungal medication; Imidazole - If you have liver problems; If you are pregnant or breastfeeding; If you have a history of arrhythmia. Warnings and precautions: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have a history of liver disease; If you are taking glucocorticoids; If you have arrhythmia; If you have another autoimmune disease. If you are taking ketoconazole: Adults and children over 12 years old: The recommended initial dose is 600 mg per day, taken orally (3 tablets per day divided into 3 doses). The ketoconazole tablet should be taken after a full meal. Separate it from antacids or gastric secretion inhibitors. It can be taken at any time of the day. Do not break the tablet into halves. How to store ketoconazole: Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date printed on the carton and blister after EXP. The expiration date refers to the last day of the same month. This medicine does not require special storage conditions. Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste.
