Usage instructions: For pneumonia treatment: Children weighing 34 kg or more: The dose depends on body weight and should be determined by the doctor. The usual dose is 2 grams once daily, taken as a single dose. Children aged 6 months and above and weighing less than 34 kg: The dose depends on body weight and should be determined by the doctor. The usual dose is 60 milligrams per kilogram of body weight once daily, taken as a single dose. For sinusitis treatment: Children: Your doctor should determine the use and dose. For infections treatment: Children aged 6 months and above: The dose depends on body weight and should be determined by the doctor. The usual dose ranges from 10 to 30 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight once daily, taken as a single dose. Depending on the type of infection, it may be followed by doses of 5 to 10 mg per kilogram of body weight once daily for several days. For tonsillitis or pharyngitis treatment: Children aged two years and above: The dose depends on body weight and should be determined by the doctor. Warnings and precautions: Shake the suspension well before use. Measure the dose carefully using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon as you may not get the correct dose. If your child vomits the dose within 30 minutes, contact your doctor to see if you need to repeat the dose. If you are taking an antacid containing aluminum or magnesium, wait at least two hours before or after taking azithromycin. Ingredients: Each 5 ml suspension contains: 8 mg azithromycin monohydrate, equivalent to 200 mg azithromycin.
