Uses of polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: Polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol is a lubricant used for temporary relief of irritation and burning caused by dry eyes. It can also be used to treat dry eyes resulting from contact lens use. This product consists of single-dose preservative-free units. Do not use polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: - If you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol or any ingredients of this medicine. Tell your doctor about any allergies and symptoms you have. - If the product appears cloudy or changes color. Precautions and warnings: - Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting this medicine if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol or any ingredients of this medicine. - This medicine is for external use only. - Stop using the medicine and consult a doctor if you experience irritation or redness in the eye that worsens or lasts more than 72 hours. - Stop using the medicine and consult a doctor if you experience vision changes or eye pain. - When used for dry eyes caused by contact lenses, ensure to instill the drops before putting on contact lenses and after removing them. Possible side effects: Possible signs of allergic reaction include rash and itching. Common side effects include blurred vision, mild eye irritation, burning or stinging. Other medications and polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications, including eye drops. If you are using more than one eye drop solution, ensure to wait at least five minutes between each to avoid mixing the drops. How to use polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: The recommended dose is one or two drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. - Wash your hands. - Twist the top of the single-dose container. - Tilt your head slightly back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket. - Place the container above your eye with the tip facing downward. - Look upward and away from the container, then press to release a drop. - Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes while tilting your head downward, making sure not to blink. - Gently press on the corner of your eye for about a minute. - Space the drops at least 5 minutes apart. Storage of polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: - Store eye drops at room temperature. - Be sure to discard the container after one use. - Dispose of any remaining contents 12 hours after opening. - Keep out of reach of children and pets. - Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package. - Keep away from light.
