Why use Calcipotriol / Betamethasone: This medicine is used as a topical treatment for scalp psoriasis in adults and on other skin areas of the body to treat mild to moderate psoriasis (common psoriasis) in adults. Do not use Calcipotriol / Betamethasone: If you are allergic (severe allergy) to Calcipotriol or Betamethasone or any other ingredients of this medicine If you have problems with calcium levels in your body (consult your doctor) If you have certain types of psoriasis: these are peeling and pustular types of psoriasis (ask your doctor). Do not use it on skin affected by the following: Viral skin infections (such as cold sores or chickenpox) Fungal skin infections (such as athlete's foot or ringworm) Bacterial skin infections Parasitic skin infections (such as scabies) Tuberculosis (TB) Perioral dermatitis (red rash around the mouth) Thin skin, easily damaged veins, stretch marks Psoriasis (dry skin with scales like fish) Acne (pimples) Rosacea (severe redness or redness on the skin of the face) Skin ulcers or cracks Precautions and warnings: Talk to your doctor / nurse / pharmacist before and during use if: You are using other corticosteroid medications You have used this medicine for a long time and plan to stop (there is a risk of psoriasis worsening or "flare-up" when stopping steroids suddenly) You have diabetes (diabetes) as blood sugar / glucose levels may be affected by steroids Your skin has an infection, and you may need to stop the treatment Your skin has a specific type of psoriasis called guttate psoriasis You experience vision problems or other visual disturbances. Possible side effects: Stop using the product and seek immediate medical care if you experience difficulty swallowing or swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, or if you feel faint or have difficulty breathing. Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching on the face or body. Other medications and Calcipotriol / Betamethasone: Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications. How to use Calcipotriol / Betamethasone: Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. Duration of treatment: Use the gel once daily. It may be more suitable to apply the gel in the evening. The usual initial treatment period is 4 weeks for scalp areas and 8 weeks for areas without scalp. Your doctor may decide on a different treatment period or repeated treatment. Do not use more than 15 grams in one day. How to store Calcipotriol / Betamethasone: Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children Do not use this medicine after the expiration date printed on the bottle after EXP. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month Do not refrigerate. Keep the bottle in the outer carton to protect it from light Dispose of the bottle with any remaining gel after 6 months from first opening. * The dosage form and method of administration of Calcipotriol / Betamethasone 50 micrograms/gram + 0.5 mg/gram ointment should be determined according to the therapeutic indication and the severity of the disease for each patient individually.
