Sivdinir Capsule 300 mg: What is Sivdinir and why is it used? Sivdinir is a third-generation semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic for oral administration. Sivdinir is used to treat the following infections: respiratory infections. Community-acquired pneumonia, acute sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections.
What you need to know before using Sivdinir: Do not use Sivdinir if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components of this medication, or to other cephalosporins or penicillin.
Precautions and warnings: Dose adjustment is required in case of renal impairment. Inform your doctor if you experience diarrhea, as pseudomembranous colitis has been reported with this medication.
Overgrowth of resistant bacterial or fungal organisms may occur with prolonged or repeated treatment.
Other medications and Sivdinir: Antacids containing magnesium or aluminum interfere with the absorption of Sivdinir; if needed during treatment, take at least two hours before or after antacids.
Iron supplements, including multivitamins containing iron, interfere with the absorption of Sivdinir. If necessary, take iron supplements at least two hours before or after other supplements.
How to use Sivdinir:
Sivdinir for oral use
Adults: 300 mg twice daily
Dose adjustment is required in case of renal impairment.
Children over 6 months: The recommended daily dose for children is 7 mg/kg twice daily.
Possible side effects:
Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience hives, rash, chest tightness, wheezing, or low blood pressure.
Storage instructions for Sivdinir:
Store at room temperature away from light and humidity. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines out of reach of children and pets, and do not flush medicines in the toilet or pour them down the drain unless instructed.
Properly dispose of this product when expired or no longer needed.
