Panadol Science tablets are used as a pain reliever for sinus pain and congestion: Panadol Science can be used to relieve sinus pain, nasal congestion, and headache. How to use How to use Panadol Science: Adults and children over 12 years: One to two tablets every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours when needed • The minimum interval between doses: 4 hours • Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. • Do not take the medication for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. • Do not give the medication to children under 12 years old. • Do not use it with decongestants or other medications containing paracetamol. Warnings and precautions: This medication should not be used in case of known or previous allergy to paracetamol or pseudoephedrine Do not use this medication if you suffer from severe high blood pressure or acute coronary artery disease. Do not use this medication if you suffer from acute renal failure. Do not use this medication if you are taking or have recently taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors within the past two weeks. Do not take this medication if you are using or have used sympathomimetic agents such as decongestants, appetite suppressants, or stimulant drugs similar to amphetamines. Medical advice should be sought before taking this medication in the following cases: Patients with mild to moderate renal failure. Patients with cardiovascular diseases or arrhythmia, high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism, prostate enlargement, diabetes, glaucoma, or pheochromocytoma. Glutathione depletion cases such as sepsis or blood poisoning. If you are taking beta blockers or other antihypertensive medications. There are some reports indicating the occurrence of ischemic colitis when taking pseudoephedrine. Immediate discontinuation of pseudoephedrine and medical consultation are required if sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, or other symptoms of ischemic colitis occur. Rare cases of PRES encephalopathy syndrome / RCVS cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome have been reported resulting from taking sympathomimetic drugs including pseudoephedrine. Symptoms reported include sudden severe headache, nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances. Most cases improved or resolved within days after receiving appropriate treatment. Immediate discontinuation of pseudoephedrine and medical consultation are necessary if symptoms of PRES or RCVS occur. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Always read the medication label.
