Product description: Panadol Extend features a sustained-release formulation that can provide long-lasting relief from joint pain such as that associated with osteoarthritis. Panadol Extend may be a suitable choice as it contains a higher dose of paracetamol compared to regular Panadol tablets. Panadol Extend can provide up to 8 hours of pain relief. Panadol Extend is a unique bilayer tablet that includes an immediate-release dose and a sustained-release dose of paracetamol. The paracetamol is released in two stages, with the first stage released quickly for rapid onset of action, while the second stage is released slowly throughout the day or night to provide long-lasting pain relief. Usage instructions: For oral use only. Adults including seniors and children aged 12 years and above: 2 tablets taken three times daily every 6 to 8 hours as needed, with a maximum of 6 tablets in 24 hours. Maximum daily dose: 4000 mg. Do not exceed the specified dose. Do not use with other products containing paracetamol. Can be taken with or without food. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Warnings and precautions: Always read the label, use the medication as directed only, improper use can be harmful. Do not take this medication at the same time as other products containing paracetamol. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients in this product. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor or pharmacist. If you have any liver or kidney problems, consult a doctor before taking Panadol. If you have glutathione-depleting conditions such as sepsis, consult a doctor before taking Panadol. Keep out of sight and reach of children. An overdose of paracetamol can cause liver failure; seek immediate medical attention in case of overdose, even if symptoms are not present. Long-term daily use of paracetamol with warfarin or other coumarins used as blood thinners may increase the risk of bleeding; consult your doctor before taking these medicines together.
